Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Clary is built around personal thoughts and commitments, so privacy is part of the product design—not a footer promise. This policy explains the information handled by the Clary website and application, the reasons for that handling, and the boundaries we are working to keep clear.
1. What Clary may handle
Depending on the features you use, Clary may handle:
- Account details such as your name, email address, and sign-in provider identifier.
- Content you choose to capture, including task titles, notes, voice transcriptions, dates, durations, project or area information, and correction history.
- Device and app information needed to provide the service, diagnose failures, protect the service, and understand aggregate usage.
- Messages you send directly by email, including your email address and the content of your message.
2. How information is used
We use this information to provide Clary, preserve and organize your captures, respond to support requests, protect accounts and infrastructure, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.
3. AI and cloud processing
Clary is designed to preserve a raw capture locally before slower or fallible interpretation. Depending on device, configuration, and the feature state available to you, interpretation may be performed on-device or through an authenticated backend. When cloud processing is enabled, only context relevant to the current request should be sent; the product is not designed to send your complete task database by default.
AI output is treated as a proposal. Deterministic validation, consequence checks, confirmation, execution receipts, and undo are separate product responsibilities. Do not rely on a suggestion as a guarantee that a task, reminder, or calendar event was changed.
4. Sharing and service providers
We may use infrastructure and service providers to host data, authenticate users, process requests, and deliver email. Providers receive only the information needed for the service they provide and are expected to protect it. The current product is still under development; integrations and cloud processing may change as release readiness work is completed.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the product, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request access or deletion by contacting monish.sd.2008@gmail.com. Account deletion and external-service deletion are being completed and verified as part of the product's release-readiness work; we will communicate any limits or additional verification required.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No service can promise absolute security. The product is being built with authenticated access, minimized context, scoped data, and no raw private AI replay logging as explicit safety goals.
7. Children
Clary is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in some jurisdictions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product and its providers change. The date above indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
9. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent to monish.sd.2008@gmail.com or through the contact page.
